Your Experience Matters to Me
I value your feedback and encourage you to provide feedback to me at any time. I truly want to give you the best experience possible. And while most concerns can be managed directly between a therapist and client, there are times you may need additional support.
In accordance with Texas law (House Bill 4224 and Section 181.105 of the Texas Health and Safety Code), the following information is provided to help you understand your rights and available resources.
You have the right to contact the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC) with complaints about my professional conduct. The Texas BHEC investigates and prosecutes professional misconduct committed by marriage and family therapists, professional counselors, psychologists, psychological associates, social workers, and licensed specialists in school psychology.
Although not every complaint against or dispute with a licensee involves professional misconduct, the Executive Council will provide you with information about how to file a complaint. You may call the Health Professions Council toll-free complaint referral system, 1-800-821-3205, for more information. This automated, statewide number will route you to the appropriate licensing agency. Instructions for filing a complaint are also available on the Texas BHEC website: https://www.bhec.texas.gov/discipline-and-complaints/index.html.
